Twenty Questions (Plus 480)

Today is Day 1 of the 101 in 1001...So let's start this off right and begin a task.

1. Who are you? Rebecca, a 22 year old aspiring filmmaker trying to make her way through life.

2. What are the 3 most important things everyone should know about you? I'm a dreamer, I'm shy until you get to know me, but I'm worth knowing.

3. When you aren't filling out 5,000 question surveys like this one what are you doing? working, listening to music, hanging out with friends, writing, drinking coffee with friends, talking incessantly, sleeping

4. List your classes in school from the ones you like the most to the ones you like the least (or if you are out of school, think of the classes you did like and didn't like at the time). of the basic curriculum: English, History, Math, Science. But any and all "arts" classes are at the top of the list (band, communications, etc)

5. What is your biggest goal for this year? happiness and acceptance of things that aren't my control

6. Where do you want to be in 5 years? on set, successful, in a committed relationship, happy

7. What stage of life are you in right now? Post-Grad... early 20's, trying to initiate myself in the workplace... self-absorbant and the world is my oyster

8. Are you more child-like or childish? child-like

9. What is the last thing you said out loud? no idea... probably something like "okay"

11. Have you ever taken martial arts classes? I did when I was a kid, but I never got past yellow belt because we kept moving and I had to keep switching styles

12. Does your life tend to get better or worse or does it just stay the same? it gets better in some regards and worse in others

13. Does time really heal all wounds? given enough of it, yes

14. How do you handle a rainy day? LOVE it. Cup of tea. Movie. Blanket. Book. Listening to the rain patter against the window. Or walking around with an umbrella and a hoodie, earbuds in ears. Joy.

15. Which is worse...losing your luggage or having to sort out tangled holiday lights? Losing your luggage. You can always buy new holiday lights... and a project like that can be fun, whereas losing your luggage is stressful

16. How is your relationship with your parents? I talk to my Mom everyday but my Dad lost my trust a few years ago when he abandoned me for his "new" family

Will you miss them when they are gone? Yes. Terribly.

17. Do you tend to be aware of what is going on around you? No, I'm actually really bad about that

18. What is the truest thing that you know? That life isn't easy, and isn't always rewarding, but is worth it.

19. What did you want to be when you grew up? When I was a kid, I wanted to be anything from a vet to a musician. Then I tended to stick with the entertainment theme, and now work in movies.

20. Have you ever been given a second chance? Yes, and I'm incredibly grateful for it.

21. Are you more of a giver or a taker? I try to be an equal amount of both

22. Do you make your decisions with an open heart/mind? I try to, but not always

23. What is the most physically painful thing that has ever happened to you? I haven't really had anything that majorly painful happen to me... sure at the time, things hurt, but I can't remember any of the details now

24. What is the most emotionally painful thing that has ever happened to you? Either when my Dad finally left me, the only family member still talking to him, to move to Russia with his new family... or when a boy I loved didn't feel the same way and broke all contact for a year

25. Who have you hugged today? No one. :(

26. Who has done something today to show they care about you? My Mom calls me and tells me, my roommate hangs out with me, and an acquaintance met me for coffee to give me advice for a program I'm applying for that he's currently doing.

91. In Star Trek people 'beam' back and forth between different places. What this means is they stand in a little tube and their molecules are deconstructed and sent to another tube somewhere else where they are reassembled. Only problem is when the molecules are deconstructed the person is dead. When they are put back together it is only a clone that has all the dead person's memories. So...

Is the person who gets beamed the same person on both ends?  technically, no. But for all intensive purposes, yes.

I was interviewed and then spotted during the parade.... I was also on the local school station in the county a bunch - I did the weekly "news" for my high school and was the "director" character on the weekly sports show

116. Have you ever won a contest or competition? I was one of 10 students chosen in middle school for an award

Is there anything really interesting in your family history? my Dad's Mom once claimed we're related to Blackbeard the Pirate through her... and on my Mom's Dad's side we're related to Alexander the Great I believe... I also had relatives on that side fight in both the Revolutionary and Civil Wars

169. What's the coolest job you ever had? Anything where I've been on set... and to outsiders, my job as a Page at CBS was cool, since I worked everyday on shows like American Idol, The Price is Right, Dancing With the Stars, So You Think You Can Dance?, etc

Well, at the time, the "freedom of religion" was a freedom to practice whichever branch of Christianity and Judaism you wanted, but as the Eastern world moved over, the idea of freedom of religion became broader, but the wording in the ancient document never changed. Plus, people are ignorant, haha

197. In what sense are you a minority? I'm a female. And in California, being white is somewhat of a minority as well
