It's like when my friend StepOnMe and I did a "Room Raiders" spoof back in high school, where she raided my room/house, looking for a gay best friend (because just regular, straight, girl best friend doesn't work... it had to be a guy or something).
Anyway.
Zooey Deschanel
She's either a love or a hate on most people's lists... she doesn't really fall in the in-between. True, she always plays the same character (indie/quirky with deadpan humor and bitchy traits), which is what I assume to be her actual personality, but I love her/envy her/want to be her.
And I want her eyes.

Kristen Bell
A lot of my guy friends love her, and rightfully so. She's adorable, and whether she's solving crimes on Veronica Mars, f-ing Russell Brand (and breaking Jason Segal's heart) in Forgetting Sarah Marshall, or a psychotic (Sylar) lightning-slinger on Heroes, I love her.
(I put 2 because I love her so. And the first one has ZQ, so it's a double love).

Rachel McAdams
She's one of the most talented actresses of her generation, stars in one of the best romance movies, dated Ryan Gosling, and is gorgeous. Jealous, much?
Lucy Griffiths
She was Marian in the BBC's latest adaptation of "Robin Hood". At 23, she's the youngest on the list (though she looks older). She's incredibly talented and I wish my hair looked like hers/Robin would marry me.
She's adorable in Amelie and I loved her in A Very Long Engagement (with Gaspard). And she's French. 'Nuff said.

There you have it. Does it say something about me that all the girls on this list resemble me in some way? (I share Kristen's goofiness/facial expressions). God, I AM that narcissistic.

Try Lizzy Caplan, especially her in "Mean Girls" and "My Best Friend's Girl". She fits right in with Ms. Deschanel.
ReplyDeleteOh yea, I forgot about her... though I prefer her in "True Blood" as the hippie... my guy roommate was obsessed with her in that... and I haven't seen "My Best Friend's Girl" yet but I'll have to check it out... the stills I googled are right up my quirky/indie/hipster alley :)
ReplyDeleteGreat list although not sure about Lucy Griffiths?
ReplyDeleteWell, to each his/her own. I fell in love with her in Robin Hood and love that she's more "real" than a lot of the other "celebrities" out there.
ReplyDeleteBut I'm going to agree with Poetry of Flesh here and add Lizzy to my list as well.
